Tasted the 2012 and 2013 vintage - both are pretty amazing for the price. loads of flavor in both - more so in the 2012 as is blessed with sun kissed sweet juicy fruit providing a full body framed with moderately dry tannins. The 2013 is leaner, dryer with a medium body. Both superb, especially for a $20 wine. If you get down to the winery try the 2012 Meritage - totally outstanding for $30!

Palatine Hills 2010 Neufeld Vineyard Cabernet Franc: We’ve been following winemaker Jeff Innes from his days in the County at the Grange and have stopped in a couple of times at Palatine Hills. We finally opened one of the few bottles of this Cabernet Franc that I picked up in the spring. Sweet raspberry and blueberry with nice toasty oak (vanilla) and sweet spice aromas. Gorgeous dark fruit on the palate with dried cherries & blueberries, and the recurring sweet spice and vanilla. Well integrated tannins, decent acidity. Drinking lovely now, this will only improve over the next few years.
