This is a very good sangiovese-based red that’s a great choice for hearty Italian dishes (like osso bucco and meaty lasagna) but also performs well outside the Italian culinary ghetto. The flavours are solid from start to finish, there’s a good shot of fresh acidity, and the tannins contribute seamlessly to the dryness. Score: 89 (Rod Phillips, WineAlign.com, Apr 2013)

SuperTuscan 'LITE'?
Tastes like a good table Chianti, with some extra body from the CS/M and quite a heft of acidity.
Flavorful, refreshing, and goes great with our simple pasta lunch.
Ten dollars cheaper than my favorite Chianti, hence great value
