This has an odd, grainy/maltynose; not a lot of fruit. It's medium weight, fleshy, and fairly dense. Very good length...

Curiously sweet and oaky, a real departure from this wine in the past, and not a happy direction. Clumsy and awkward....

Really confused by this wine. Was expecting something nice and zippy, but instead I got a round and oaky wine that is lacking the fruit I was hoping for. If I didn't have these expectations though, I might have been a little happier. Peach, pear, and honey on the nose (quite muted) with similar flavours on the palate. Medium weight, reasonable acidity, and good length, though just lacking proper fruit. Not bad, just expecting more. Tasted April 2012.
