Elegant and rich but not overly rich and with nice balance, nice fruit, and clean lingering finish. Great wine, especially at this price.

Not as rich as I expected from California, this has the subtle complexity of a Chablis. I am enjoying one glass of this every night. Decent for twenty dollars, but forget it if they want forty.

Yellow-gold colour, felt like it was getting close to the end of it's lifespan so don't plan on cellaring. Some nice apple and tropical notes intermingling with butter and oak spice. Some nice acidity to keep it fresh. A very elegant chardonnay that can't be passed up at the price. Tasted February 2012

This biodynamic wine explodes with the aroma and flavour of butter and hazelnuts. But that intensity is quickly neutralized by a lightning streak of freshly squeezed citrus and crisp mineral sensations. The butter aroma and taste are the product of ‘malo-lactic fermentation’ whereby the natural malic acid (think green apples) in the wine is converted to its lactic form – hence the softer creamy character. It can be too much for some people though this example does find a good balance. A definite shoe-in for sea food. Tasted March 2012.

Old gold in colour with high intensity on the nose.

Positives: medium+ oak & toast with lemon, caramel apple & lots of spice. Full body with good acidity & long length.

Negatives: One dimensional, over toasted oak, too much fermented orange & a lot of heat coming from the alcohol. I would lay this one down for another 2 years to see if it mellows.

Hard to pair this one due to the powerful toasted oak & fermentation.
