The 2010 Hob Nob pinot noir is a lot better than the 2009. There is good varietal character with a nose of dry red...

Sorry Steve, I totally disagree with ya man...This does not resemble the normal varietal characteristics of Pinot Noir at all. In fact was going to say if you're a Pinot fan you will be gravely disappointed. It's still a well made (cheap) wine...the fruit seems cooked though, offering prunes, dates, raisons with loads of black liquorice, anise, brown sugar and vanilla oak. It actually reminds me a bit of cheap Nebbiolo. Sorry I can't find any Pinot love here.
