(A blend of 50% malvasia lunga bianca toscana and 50% trebbiano toscano; spent four years in small used oak barrels and caratelli; 13% alcohol; from organically grown grapes) Bright golden-amber color. Pungent, rich aromas of ripe citrus fruits, peach, dried fig and raisins. Fruity, tactile and very intense on entry, with a floral element lifting the peach, caramel and hazelnut flavors. Finishes with good juicy persistence and a touch of alcoholic warmth. As good as this is, I don't think it's quite up to the standards of past benchmark Vin Santos from this estate, such as the '01 and '03. Score - 90.
