This light yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc from Joseph Phelps won out mini-blind tasting of high end Sauvignon Blancs. It opens with a mild pear bouquet with hints of vanilla and asparagus. On the palate, this wine is a medium bodied, balanced, elegant, and pleasantly crisp. The flavor profile is a tasty mild green pear with green apple and touch of minerality. The finish is dry and rather pleasant. This very impressive Sauvignon Blanc is very food friendly and would pair quite well with swordfish. Very Good. Score - 92.
