This pours garnet-brick red and the nose is mature with classic, sweet, dried cherry, fig, chocolate, lead pencil...

Open, fragrant, modern-leaning Brunello here, with vestiges of wood still notable, but the complexity is impressive...

The 2005 Le Ragnaie Brunello Di Montalcino is medium bodied with intense aromas of integrated cherry, leather, cedar, thyme, vanilla and an unusual note of red peppercorn. It has a nice acidity, tannins that are refined (decant for 30 to 60 min) and a bit sweet, silky and medium to long finish. Drink now or hold till the next decade. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts - bit more expensive than other Brunello's. Tasted Nov/11.

A nice medium-bodied red wine from Tuscany. Tastes of flowers, cherries and oak. A nice wine but has a touch too much oak taste to my liking. I probably will not buy this again. If you must buy this wine, keep it in the cellar for a couple of years and you may like it more.
