This is a great transition wine for those tempted by the very unique world of Burgundy’s Pinot Noir. Think of this as Gamay on steroids and expect significantly more weight in the mouth when compared to that of November’s fruity nouveau wines. A very nice mix of sour cherry, raspberry and hints of black pepper. (northof9finewine, Feb 2011)
