Dominio De Malpica Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Tierra De Castilla
Spain hardly needs cabernet sauvignon because it has other interesting reds, but this is a good example that catches the grape’s lifted currant, mint and herbal nuances and presents them in Spain’s smoother, gentler oak-aged style. It’s a little bit too oaky, but still, it’s a good wine with some tannin and the potential to improve with age. Very good length.
