The Santa Brigida '98, a blend of sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon, is very good. The intense ruby hue shades into purple. The nose is equally concentrated, wtih vegetal notes and green peppers prominent without being disturbing. The palate, after a powerful attack, is mouthfilling with firm, densely packed, well-integrated tannins. The excellent, very long finish includes notes of coffee and chocolate.
