Outgoing aromas of ripe melons and flowers steer this working away from the conventional 'grassy' model, and the young, slightly juicy flavors that ensue are similarly keyed on fruit first and foremost. If arguably a bit simple, it conveys an impression of substance that bodes well for the future, and its combination of balance and depth convince us that another twelve months in bottle is the right call.
