The nose is pungent with smoked meat, raisin bread, flat leaf parsley and salted crackers. The body is fulsome with nice density showing pretty preserved raspberry, cool smoke and cold beef stew. The acids in the wine are quite soft making for a very soft palate. This wine will not make old bones, and nor should it, but it will do well at your next casual BBQ.
