A fruit-forward, black plum, and blackberry flavoured wine with soft and plush tannins. Hints of pepper, spice, and touches of floral emerge with time. Acids deliver freshness. Indeed, this is an easy-drinking, fruity Douro from Romaneira. Tannin is quite mild and the focus is on the fruit, derived from mostly from the usual local Portuguese varieties plus a bit of syrah. Easy to like, and fine to sip on any time. Tasted Nov 2017.
