The Pelee Island Winery Pavilion is a hub of activity on the island. It takes a full day, or a weekend, to properly explore the unique 10,000-acre natural treasure that is Pelee Island, so consult the website’s ferry schedules to plan ahead. Pelee Island has thousands of unique plants, wildlife and Carolinian habitat, making it a paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and cyclists. The ruins of Vin Villa, Canada’s first winery, are yet another attraction. A popular spot for weddings and group functions, the Pavilion features a large wine store, restaurant and gift shop.
