Mike Weir Wine
Canada’s most famous golfer entered the wine business in 2005, out of a personal love of wine and a desire to raise money for the Mike Weir Foundation, which funds children’s charities across the country. In a few short years, his label has become one of the leading VQA brands at the LCBO. On the Niagara Parkway, a showpiece winery, hospitality centre and gallery of Mike Weir’s golfing memorabilia is also in the works. The award-winning wine is made in conjunction with Château des Charmes, drawing on its 150 hectares to create a focused range of midpriced varietals, including balanced Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc whites, Pinot Noir and Cabernet-Merlot reds, and Icewine.
